Have you ever visited a NASCAR teams race shop?

Update:

Jrh88rsdad-No, my time is way too precious to stalk anyone, but a bunch of friends and myself were and are still staked by a crazy female NASCAR 'fan.' But, as previously put, my time is way too precious to deal or even care about that.

I've been to several over the years: Hendrick, Roush, DEI, Ganassi (before he merged with DEI), and Robert Yates Racing (that's been several years, back when Dale Jarrett and Elliott Sadler raced for them). Hendrick was by far the largest and prettiest. You got to see a fair amount too. The museum Hendrick has is really cool. Roush and DEI were alright, but they did not seem really fan friendly. You did not see too much at either one, except for what they put out for you to see. Ganassi's shop was small, but nice. You could see onto the shop floor and they had display cars in the lobby. Robert Yates Racing was by far the most fan friendly. We were the only ones there the day we visited and we were looking out onto the shop floor and one of the shop guys invited us in. We walked around, we were asked not to take any pictures or touch anything and we complied, got to ask some questions and meet people on the team. It was really cool. The one bummer was we missed Elliott Sadler by about 2 hours. Had we been a little earlier we could have met him right on the shop floor.

Yes. A few, actually. Stewart-Haas, Richard Petty Motorsports, Hendrix, and Childress. I actually got to meet Kasey Kahne today and got a #9 Budweiser hat autographed.

I have not and don't know why. Charlotte is less than 2 hours away and I have a lot of family in Charlotte so I've been there many times. I need to just make the time to visit one and the new NASCAR Hall of Fame.

I haven't but my dad has, and next year he is taking my sister and I to North Carolina to go to Raceworld USA which is the home of Micheal Waltrip racing. My dad just went in August and met him and got my sister and I autographed items. While we are down there we are also going to visit Hendrick Motorsports because that is who my dad and I's favorite drivers drive for. (My dad's favorite is Dale Jr. and mine is Jeff Gordon!) So no, I can't say I have yet..but next year I will have gone to two!

Its been a while, but I have been to the old DEI, JR Motorsports, HMS, and RCR. I need to back to NC and go see the rest. I have some friends who have gone through JGR, I hear that one is really super.

i have been to The Hall and Roush Fenway Racing but my dad wouldn't let me because he's a die-hard Ford fan just like me.......but I still would have like to go to RCR.

  • Yes...Dale Sr.'s before he passed away. Met Larry McReynolds . The garage area itself was quite impressive. We could only peek through these little windows......the museum part was awesome...had a few of his wrecks there.

Thank you to Sonny who visited JGR yesterday and sent along some great pics!! THANKS SONNY!!!
