Can I go to Marine Corps OCS if I am in the National Guard?
I am in the Ga National Guard. I am in a Senior ROTC program that commissions Marine officers and Army officers, is it possible for me to go to OCS instead of Commissioning army? If I go to OCS and Commission Marine Corps will it negate my enlisted contract?

It depends on what you are referring to by "Senior ROTC." If you mean that you are already contracted into the last two years or Army Rotc, which actually is Senior Rotc, as an SMP Cadet, then no it is not possible except under extraordinary circumstances. If you mean that you are taking the first two years of College Rotc but have not yet contracted and are also a member of the National Guard then Yes and No. There is no Senior Rotc program that commissions Marine Officers and Army Officers. Rotc commissions Army Officers. Nrotc commissions Navy and Marine Officers. Marine Option Nrotc Mids go to the six week Ocs course referred to as "Bulldog" during the summer after Junior year. To do that you would have to have already contracted with Nrotc and a contracted Nrotc Mo Mid cannot be a member of the National Guard since he is enlisted in the Marine Reserves when he contracts. The National Guard would release you from the service obligation to contract with Nrotc.
The other way to go to Marine Ocs while a member of the National Guard is to be accepted as an officer candidate in the Plc or Occ. There is no obligation to accept a commission as a Marine 2nd Lieutenant with the Plc or Occ. On accepting a commission, you would be released from the National Guard contract. Speak to the Nrotc Cadre and to a Usmc Oso.

I served within the Navy, and the Army National Guard, adding eleven months in Iraq. I served a whole of 36 years. And allow me take this possibility to factor out that the Department of Homeland Terrorism is a hazard to our type of presidency. The truly extremists are in Washington, DC. The navy protects the country. The Department of Homeland Terrorism is a hazard to our freedoms.
