Lander Ticket Germany?
Hi, I would like to buy the Lander ticket on weekdays from Frankfurt and travel all the way to Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber and back. I know this option is possible (that is to buy two Lander ticket one for Hessen region and the other for the Bayern region) I manage to get 5 people including myself for the trip. What I would like to know is:
1) How long will it take to travel from Frankfurt to Rothenburg ? (The slow train jouney)
2) The first train after 9.00am that goes to Rothenburg?
3) The price for the lander ticket for the Hessen and the Bayern region
Thanks in advance.

1) Depending on the train 2 and a half to 3 hours.
2) One at 8:54 next one at 10:21
3) Hessen Ticket 30 €, Bavaria ticket 28 €.
There are other options instead of the Länder ticket book a ticket for a certain train for example cost can be as low as 29 €.
Be aware the ticket will only be valid on the train you booked and it can not be refunded!
Also check out the section offers on the website of German rail you always find a lot of ways to save money.

The very first train from Frankfurt you can take using Hessen Ticket is the 9:30am. In this case you'll arrive Rothenburg ob der Tauber at 12:59pm, which is 3 hours long journey.
