Help i was lied to during an interview, What can i do?
I went to an Interview with NCO financial and i was lied to during the interview; The interviewer said i was going to be doing collections and that i had a supervisor and i was the only person reporting to her. And that the other people sitting around me were collectors also but working with the city of Wilmington and they're all getting paid $9/hr. Turns out I'm working with taxes and it's not collections and the job im going to be doing is no where near $9--$13/hr job it's more like $32,000 per year job. He also said it was a last minute job they had to make up that's why i was the only one. What can i do to this scumbag? cuz i know he has the city under the impression that he's paying me what he's supposed to be paying me, but is paying me only $9/hr and putting the rest in his pocket. What can i do to this scumbag? Can i sue him? Because i know it's illegal to lie to candidates in the interview room.

"Because i know it's illegal to lie to candidates in the interview room." - Sorry, wrong.
There is nothing to sue him for. He offered you a wage and you accepted it. You have the option to stay or quit.

You are WRONG in your supposed knowledge. There is no law ANYWHERE that says that you have to be told the truth in a job interview.
If you don't like the job, QUIT!

If you can prove that he is under city contract on your job. And falsifying your pay. You have him. For this you would need to view the contract and records. be expensive to do. And your job would vanish as well.
