how do you manually remove cookies in your computer?

if you are running windows xp ,vista, and win7 how do you manually remove cookies?

please give detail steps on how. thank you.

    Use this free utility...and in the options button...click on cookies and save the important ones like login.yahoo.....etc..........

    all othe cookies will be errased except those in the exceptions tab of cookies

    I am running Internet Explorer 8, Windows XP

    Click on Tools > Internet Options and in Browsing History select Delete.

    From the new window that pops open, select the options to delete and deselect those which should remain.

    Program--->settings---->control panel---->internet options----> double click on delete button
