windows 7 network help please?
hi i have 2 computers both running windows 7 ultimate. I am trying to connect them together via X-over cable but i am getting no connectivity, any help would be appreciated thanks

Be sure both computers are in the same workgroup. Also, make sure they are both set to Obtain IP Address Automatically in the Properties of TCP/IP. Finally, make sure any firewalls you might have are set to allow sharing between the two, or disabled completely.
