Evyn is a gorgeous name for a girl! I love it. I'm not overly fond of Ella because it is a very popular name, but Ryan is really sweet.

    Ella - 3/10

I gave this a 3/10 because it is so common! There will be more than two other Ella's in her class, no doubt. It's pretty and if you still like it, go for it. But why don't you try to lengthen the name and make Ella the nn? Suggestions:

    Eleanor

    Eleanora

    Ellen

    Elena

    Elodie

    Eloise

    Elaina

    Elaine

    Eleora/Eliora

Eliana * < This name is on my list.

    Elisa

    Elise

    Elizabeth

    Ellen

    Elodie

    Ellory

    Elsie

    Elspeth

Ella Ryan - 2/10, Ryan is a masculine name & I hate masculine names on girls. What happens when she's older and the mail comes to the door and it's for "Mr. E. Ryan (surname)"?

Some suggestions to more feminine 'R' and 'Ry' names:

    Rhiannon

    Rayanne

    Rihanna

    Rhianne/Rhiann/Ryanne

    Rachel

    Rachelle/Rochelle

    Raquelle

    Raine

    Raina

    Rebecca

    Rylie/Riley

    Rhianna

    Rose

    Rosa

    Rosalie

    Rosalyn

    Rosalind

    Rosalinda

    Rosetta

    Rosina

    Rosemary /Rosemarie

    Evyn - 0/10

    EVAN is a boys name.

    Evyn Melanie - 3/10

Melanie is pretty. Some female EV- names are:

    Eva

    Evangelia

    Evangelina

    Evangeline

    Eve

Evelyn * < This is on my list.

While I like the idea of passing down a name to baby; I don't like "unisex" names. Too many problems arise. Sometimes, there are different spellings that are still common but moreso for a different sex. Take my name for example: Sasha

Sasha is more common for females, and suits females better in my opinion.

Sacha is more common on males (Sacha Baron Cohen), and suits males better.. Imo.

Sascha is common on either sex, and Sascha is much like the name 'Riley' which could be either.

If you still love the names you chose, I'm not going to change your mind. Your child, your choice.

I think the Evyn spelling looks downmarket and uneducated personally. Evan Rachel Wood's parents didn't spell her name wrong in an attempt to make a name girly, and neither should you. Also, what is the point of picking a unisex/masculine name only to try and give it a feminine spelling? Why not just pick a name that is clearly feminine in the first place?

that is exciting yet slightly too very like Envy before each little thing look. in case you like the sound of the call, i could bypass with Evan or perhaps Evanne. different innovations for the NN Evy or Evie could desire to be: Evelyn Eve Evangeline

I LOVE Evyn!!! I would spell it Evynn but that's just me. I'm not fond of Ella because it's super common and Evyn is rather unique. They don't fit as a sibset.

Actually, for those who aren't aware Ryan & Evan ARE unisex names. I know a couple GIRLS named Ryan and a GIRL named Evan.

  • Ryan and Evan are masculine boys names regardless of how you spell them. There is nothing feminine, girlie or unisex about either of them. They are all for girls. Do your daughters a favour and give them two actual GIRLS names since they are girls. Also Melanie is nice but Ella is rather childish. Much better as a nickname. Still it's better than having a masculine boys name. I'd rather have a childish nickname than a masculine boys name like Ryan or Evan.

If Evyn is a legitimate name then okay. Evann is another option you could use. It's the English version of the Irish name Aoibheann and is said ee-VAN.

I don't like Ryan for a girl.. just no.

  • Evan is a boy's name. Evyn is awful.

Slapping a y into Evan does not make it more feminine, it just makes it look trashy. At the very least, you should spell it correctly.
