Things to do on the way to Eugene, OR?

My family is taking a trip up I-5 to Eugene from CA. We would like to stop and visit someplace family-oriented on the way as we have a few hours to spend. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Visit Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon, between Grants Pass and Roseburg. You and your whole family can drive through 600 acres where hundreds of mostly free-ranging animals, many of which are unique to Africa or Asia, roam in a natural setting. There are 500 to 600 individual animals of about 80 species. The most dangerous animals are in small fenced compounds: black bear and African lion.

It is a little pricey per person (up to $18 for adults, and $12 for under 12). If that's too steep for some in your group, there is a large and free petting area, and other free animal exhibits which are easily interesting enough to pass the 60 to 90 minutes that the driving tour takes.
