Re-fried beans are really just mashed up cooked beans. The Mexicans mash beans the way we mash potatoes. The beans are not "fried". This will keep them from falling out of tacos and burritos. The Spanish word for mash in English is re-fried. So heat your cooked beans and then mash them.

I brown some pieces of chopped raw bacon cook 'til brown put the drained, beans in the pan and mash. Cook on low heat until a light brown on the bottom add garlic and onion powder. Stir all ingredients together and slap on a fresh tortilla.

sweetheart if you want refried beans then you put lard in a cast iron skillet and heat, then pour your beans with juice into lard , you will hear them sizzle, as they heat start mashing them, add the seasoning to your taste, you can use them with fried eggs and warmed floue tortilla's, i used to work with a woman that was from spain, i learned alot of recipies from her.
