Is the radio code for my BMW found in the manual?
I don't have the manual with me, but is the code in there. Isn't it supposed to be on a sticker? I have a 1994 BMW 540i.
I need the code because my car's battery died out.
Thanks.

The radio SERIAL NUMBER will be required for calculating a code
remove the radio from the dashboard.
Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.
This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

Typically when the car is sold new a card is put in with all the manuals and such. The way I get the codes is remove the radio just enough to get the serial number and then I can get the code with just a quick phone call. Some people say you can get the code using the cars VIN. I never tried its much easier for me to pop the radio out.

A BMW dealer can help you. I forget if they use your VIN or the serial off the radio, I think its the numbers off the radio so pull that out, take it to them or have them help you over the phone. If they want money - hang up or turn around and never go back to that dealership.
