Floyd Mayweather in second place? What are your thoughts?

In my humble opinion, that's exactly the place he belongs in. Check out this article from Yahoo Sports:

P4P rankings do not equal quality of fights. It means who did you beat plan and simple. It has nothing to do with Performances. Who has Pacquiao beat? Who has Mayweather beat? Mayweather in his last two fights beat Marquez who at the time was number 3 P4P and beat Mosley who at the time beat Mosley who was number 3.

Pacquiao fought Cotto who was number 8. And clottey who wasn't even in the top 10 the list makes no sense.

The raters are even being generous to him by placing him up there just behind Pacquiao. I believe there are other more worthy fighters that should be rated in his place. He's just an American and more popular. He's fought just twice since coming back, beating an over-matched Juan Manuel Marquez and a suddenly-old again Shane Mosley. I think Juan Manuel should be rated higher than him for his magnificent victories coming back from a point loss to Floyd and past controversial results versus the undisputed number one, Manny Pacquiao with whom Floyd wanted no part of.

I would rank him lower just to get the point in to his thick skull that you need to be active to be the best. You can have all the ability in the world, if you only want to fight ever 12-18 months then the world doesnt stop for you.Guts, heart, determination, strenght etc all come in to boxing. I dont question Floyds ability as I appreciate boxing and recognise a good boxer when I see one. I also recognise an unwillingness to test himself or fight where he doesnt have every advantage e.g height, weight, age,Vegas etc etc.

Should even be lower. I mean, the way he got obsessed with his undefeated record instead of fighting, which led to intentional picking of smaller, aging and unmatched opponents. Add to that his string of out of the ring brushes with the law. It's a pity but he's self-destructing.

    Yes, he deserved.

He did not fight the best fighter in Mosley but the second after him and Pacquiao.

I don't have a problem with that. P4P is kind of imaginary anyway. I never made a big deal about it when Mayweather was #1.
