Is it true there are more 10's than any other number in black jack?

I read different websites that there are more 10's than any other number in black jack. Logic tells me otherwise because from 2 to 9 totals eight numbers, and from 10 to K totals 4. There are 13 different cards in a deck with four of each kind totaling 52 but as far as I can brake it down the majority points to cards from 2 to 9 than 10's. Am I missing something? what do they mean there are more 10's in 21 than any other number?

Perhaps there is a reading comprehension problem... it says there are more 10's than any other number, and you are trying to compare the amount of 10's to the total amount of 2-9?

It didn't say there are more 10's than all the other numbers combined, did it?

It said there are more 10's than any other number, and that's obviously true. Tell me a number that has more than 10's?

5's? 7's? 3's? Nope, only 4 of each of them.

There are not more tens than other cards in the blackjack deck, but read on for why many people think so...

A standard deck has 52 cards.

There are 32 cards with a value less than 10 (4 suits of 2 through 9)

    There are 16 cards with a value of 10 (four suits of 10, J, Q and K)

There are 4 cards with a value of 1 or 11 (the four aces)

So, in a pure sense, there are NOT more tens than other cards in the deck.

However, in most card counting schemes, the division line between high and low cards is at 7

In this case, there are 20 low cards (2 through 6)

there are 4 neutral cards (7)

    there are 24 high cards (8 through 10, plus J, Q and K)

there are 4 aces, which are counted separately. For some reason, just about everyone remembers how many aces have been played.

Thus, there are more HIGH cards than low cards, which leads to the confusion that there are more tens in the blackjack deck than other cards.

Also, statistically, tens cause more busts than any other card in the deck, This is why learning to count cards silently is essential if you are serious about winning at blackjack.

Yes, it is true that there are more 10 valued cards than any other SINGLE number.

If you had to guess what value the next card was, you'd be best off guessing "10". You'd be 4 times better off guessing 10 than any other value, but you wouldn't be right more than half of the time.

I don't think the web sites are trying to imply that there are more 10 valued cards than all other values combined. That would not be true.

Simply put, yes. 10,J,Q,K all are valued 10.

No of cards in deck = 52

    No of 10s = 16

    % of 10s = 30.77%

No of other value = 4

    % of any other value = 7.69%

There simply aren't, there are four of each cards in a standard deck, I'm not sure why the sites said that but it is just incorrect.
