What major concessions can the Palestinians give to Israel to kick start the peace talks?

If the Palestinians promised to recognise the State of Israel within its 47 borders would Israel accept that as the rest is only occupied land which is not even recognised even by the rest of the world. What other concession can the Palestinians make ?

Update:

Curious1 Have you forgotten that in 2008 Hamas and Israel agreed a complete ceasefire. Hamas honoured that deal. Israel broke it 4 months later

Update 2:

Shay P Why should Palestine be demilitorized and not Israel ? Do the Palestinians have the same right to defend themselves as Israel does.?

Update 3:

Chelsea4 Israelagreed and signed the Balflour Declaration in 1947 which clearly stated that Israel would have West Jerusalem NOT East Jerusalem and the boundaries were clearly set out which represented 56% of Palestine

Update 4:

urious4 How do you explain this from Mark Regev himself

Update 5:

Above should read Chelsea 4

For all those who LOVE to bring up the fact Arabs rejected UN 181, well considering 1st- it was a PROPOSAL 2nd, if Zionists loved it so much why did they kill the mediator? 3rd IF UN 181 WAS a legally binding resolution, then why not UN194 calling on Israel to acknowledge Palestinians right of return? What about UN 446 (a Security Council Resolution, which BTW IS LEGALLY BINDING) calling settlements illegal and calling on Israel to stop them EVEN IN JERUSALEM.

I keep hearing "Israel won the wars" well Iraq beat Kuwait nest-ce pas? What happened then? oooh but Israel was just defending itself. How? They invaded Jordan in November 1966 (people conveniently forget that) in the middle of peace talks, that's certainly grounds for war. Territory acquiring by force is NOT ACCEPTED by International Law nor the UN Charter, regardless is defensive or otherwise PERIOD.

Again with the rockets...how many rockets were fired from the West Bank? There are MORE attacks ON Palestinians in the West Bank then BY them.

Recognition of a Jewish state would be immoral when one quarter of your population ARE NOT JEWISH. Israel was not a Jewish state in the past, why should they be now?

Here's the ONLY concessions Israel will accept 1) complete control by Israel of ALL natural resources including the water in the West Bank and the natural gas fields off the Gazan coast 2) Final say in ALL major decisions domestic and ALL decisions foreign. 3) Unfettered expansion and expropriation 4) Meekly accepting dividing the West Bank into a dozen or more enclaves completely surrounded by Israeli territory- Israel of course controlling all traffic flowing in and out.

Oooh and I guess if they all left or accidentally threw themselves on some Israeli shrapnel or bullets, or were somehow silly enough to be crushed under tonnes of rubble, those concessions would be acceptable as well.

The world has moved on since the arab league rejected Un proposal of partition in 1947 and 7 arab countries attacked israel. The pre-1967 borders were the ceasefire lines of war of independence.

Hamas remains a jihadist organisation and branch of muslim brotherhood that is dedicated to Israels destruction and organisation gained popularity threw the cult of the suicide bomber.

see Hamas's charter. Hamas fired 7000 rockets into Israel since Israel withdrew in 2005

The Palestinian movement is divided with Hamas having slaughtered hundreds of fatah activists in their take over.

Basically the arab league countries and palestinian terrorist organisations have failed in their constant aggresion, wars and terror campaigns to destroy Israel and now must accept peace.

You cannot put the clock back to 1947

Accepting the existence of Israel on part of Palestine is the greatest concession they can offer.

What I can´t understand is why some Arabs think that they can dictate terms to Israel. Have you defeated Israel in wars? Are you strong enough to demand someting of it? Why do you think Israel needs your "concessions" at all?

It´s quite on the reverse, my Arab friend, it will be Israel who will decide which concessions will be enough for it, not you. And if Israel decides to fix its borders including all the West Bank - you will have to accept it.

And a couple of things more. First, don´t lie. Hamas violated the truce in 2008 three days after it was agreed. Second, have at least some idea of what you are talking about. Balfour Declaration was adopted not in 1947, as you in your ignorance suppose, but in 1917. And Israel never "signed" it, because it was the declaration of the British Foreign Office. And third. Israel agreed to the partition of Palestine in accord with the decision of the United Nations - but you Arabs did not. Instead, you started the war against Israel. Then one war more. Then again. And now, when Israel beat you up, you say: let´s get back to the UN decision which we the Arabs had violated.

You can not enter the same water twice and in the politics there is no "money back".

The only thing there's left of them is their dignity.

I would say their lives but the Cast lead Operation a year ago took that away too.

One point five million people living inside a 40 km area!

My dear friend, I do not think there is anything left for them to "give" to our Jewish friends.

If the Americans cannot see this and put the necessary diplomatic pressure on the israeli regime to comply to the International laws something very sad will happen to these people.

    Greetings

Israel will absolutely not agree to gain only what it got in 1947.

I agree with Shay p. Israel wants no discussions about Jerusalem. It is God's city and how on earth can it be divide? Israel expects Palestine not to have millitary power, I mean who will attack them? Israel most certainly won't.

Again you are wrong about the ceasefire. The contract they signed expired during December-January 2008, Hamas sent rockets on Israel during the time of the ceasefire. It is odd how the world only decide to watch what's going on when Israel COUNTER attacked. What a coincidence...

there is only one thing israel has ever wanted and the palestinians will not or cannot promise it....

thats no rockets to be fired into israel and no more suicide bombers.it that was promised and adhered to then israel would give back most of what the palestinians want... this has always been the demand, but the palestinians will not adhere to it.

eg. the israelis gave back gaza with no blockade, the very next day hamas shot rockets into israel... hence the blockade.

Japanese Constitution/Post War Constitution/ Peace Constitution, prohibits them from ever erecting a hostile army for war.

If Japan can do it, then the Palestinians can do it.

Japanese on a little island so far away and we could still see them coming at us again, yet no hostile army.

Disarming Palestinians is a step in the right direction.

Kamikaze and suicide bombers have alot in common, no?

Palestinians right next door so what makes them so special to take this off the table or not considered as they are already backed by the massive Arab armies.

Anything can be negotiated between two parties when people are willing for peace.

Kind of makes it questionable for Palestinians claiming to want peace but wanting military high ground and to not disarm.

Believe it Michele, Israelis are not interested in peace the way world thinks it should be.

They shall put obstacle after obstacle to delay the negotiations forever

Why should you bother looking for concessions?

Israel will never recognize Palestine; think of it; they are so powerful backed by the world elite; and they voted Netanyahu to insure their will never be peace; that is a fact; even If hamas converted to Judaism they dont want peace
