I met a Schizophrenic girl?
I met a Schizophrenic girl. I hung out with her for weeks before she or anyone told me. Everyone says she's never been Violent or anything besides cheery and sweet, even when she's off her meds. Is it true that she could be that way when not on her Medication or is everyone misinformed about her?

Schizophrenics can be very good at hiding their disease from others. My grandmother was schizophrenic, and to outsiders she was very put-together, was a teacher, went to church, attended all the requisite social events, etc etc. In private though she was very cold to her children, even mean (emotionally, never physically). She was very manipulative, and did some odd things. My father has some issues he's had to work through regarding personal relationships because of this. My grandfather also became an alcoholic, which may or may not have anything to do with my grandmother.
This is just one case though, not being a psychologist or psychiatrist I don't know if her behavior was typical. Good news is, she's probably above average intelligence because most schizophrenics are, and as long as she stays on her meds she should be fairly stable.

THE DRUGS DON'T WORK. You cant measure the ceratonin levels in the brain. Its just a scam by the pharmaceutical companies to sell their drugs.
