Hi Victoria,
First thing you'll want to do is to determine what your wants and skills are. I had one neighbor that did embroidery (i.e. shirts) for some of the local business's in her area.
Another viable way to make extra money from home is to create your own website. If you don't have a product to sell then I'd recommend you look into affiliate marketing to help you make extra money. There are several companies out there that can help you, but beware of those claiming you'll make a lot of money in just a couple of weeks.
I can say from experience that it takes a lot of time and effort, and in some cases money, to start your own business and you probably won't see any profits for at least a month or so. But once it starts, whala your success is unlimited so long as you keep working at it.
Whatever you decide make sure it's something you're comfortable doing. Good luck.

victoria, it does depend on what business you can manage-I am a stay at mom too and I have several businesses on eBay, amazon and several websites. You do not want to get a business which has not been tasted over time-starting something new is time and money consuming(you are free to email me) I am currently offering free training for a company which has been in business for over 50 years-Remember learning from someone who is successful is your best bet

Go to http://www.score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a volunteer SCORE counselor. They will guide you through the process.
