27 years old...sudden and COMPLETE loss of sex drive...Reasons? HELP!?

Question

Okay.....I have ALWAYS had the most intense sex drive. I was the one in my marriage that was always BEGGING for it! LOL! :) And if I couldn't get it from him I would just take care of it myself. This was an every day thing. A bit more than a month ago however...things are completely different. My sex drive, my want and desire for it, is COMPLETELY gone! It was just so sudden and complete. I haven't even WANTED to "help myself". I am not taking any medication at all, nothing has really changed in any way. I do have small children, but I have had small children for the last 7 years, so that is nothing new to me either. I have tried talking to my hubby about it, and even he thinks it is odd for me. Does anyone have any ideas what may have happened? Personal experiences? I am at a loss here! I do have a dr.'s appt. next week but thought I would give this a try! :) THANKS IN ADVANCE! :)

You know what? I actually do have anemia that has been acting up lately....I wonder if that is it. I will DEFINITELY post what my dr. has to say. :) THANKS FOR ALL THE RESPONSES! :)

I'm 40 and I experience the ups and downs of sexual desire, changes in hormones, stress levels, medication - any of those could be the problem...or maybe it's on a Psychological basis - could you be feeling 'inadequate' because he wants to try anal (maybe your intuition- 'why is he feeling the Need to spice things up?) Especially with an act that seems 'scary' to you. Do you have religious views that contradict the approval of sodomy? Perhaps you are wondering "of all things we could try, what is with his interest in anal? "Isn't this pretty selfish of him, because this is going to hurt like Hell on my end of the deal" In any case, I believe that if you take time to really think about your dilemma, I believe you will find the answer as to what caused the dramatic change in your sex drive 6 months ago.

Hormonal contraceptives (such as the pill) will do it...although i notice you say you're not taking any medication.

After your doctors appointment, can you let us know the answer, maybe by adding it as additional information? I'm sorry i don't have too much to offer in the way of answers but i would love to know if you find out!

I feel your pain... I'm 25 and married going through the same thing. For me I think it's that my husband isn't giving me the right attention. My x boyfriend made me horny but couldn't get me there and my husband is more than capable of getting me there but doesn't know how to make me horny... In the start I put in alot of effort to get us both horny but I think I got sick of it and now I would rather roll over and go to sleep which stresses me out!!! One that does put me in the mood is excercise strangley enough, I just have to get motivated and get off the couch... If your doctor does give you a magical cure I would love to know it.
