Blackberry VIRGIN MOBILE Problem?
I have the blackberry curve 8530 for virgin mobile and I'm wondering if I could top up my phone with the card. It says $25 top up card, but to use BBM they charge $10 dollars more. How do I get BBM on my phone then without paying for it online?

Hey :)
I have bad news. Blackberry Messenger isn't like any of the other IM programs. It is supplied directly from Blackberry however some of the time your telco will on-charge your for the subscription. All other phones connect directly to the internet, the Blackberry however connects directly (via the internet still) to the Blackberry servers. All of the information (emails, settings, web pages, chats etc) are all encrypted, zipped and sent to your phone. This ensures it is secure and also makes it quite fast (Blackberry compresses at 1:10. Therefore transfers data 10x faster than devices with the same cellular connection.) This unfortunately means, you have to pay them regularly to continue using it.
You will need to purchase the subscription to use BBM unfortunately. The same goes for the other Blackberry communication features like push email.
Sorry :(
Hope this helps :)
