what do hotels do with their old furniture?
when they renovate/ redecorate - what do they do with the furniture? can it be bought?

well.... when they renovate they send the furniture to a furniture recycling plant. While there the furniture gets split apart and smashed and all that good stuff. i am sure if u wanted to buy furniture you could just ask the owner to save you some when they renovate.

They sell it, usually to places that sort of specialize in that kind of stuff. I used to visit a warehouse type store that mostly sold former hotel furniture.

I've heard it can be bought and that they do sell it.. can't remember where though. Probably the newspaper or contact the hotel directly to find out info. I know that some do at least though.
