Make sure you have a buyers agent to represent you. It is free and can save you alot of time, money and maybe some costly mistakes. Make sure that you have a home inspection to find any deficient conditions in the home and also gives you an oppertunity to negotiate some of the cost of repairs with the seller. Always keep in mind the resale aspect of it as well. if you do not plan on staying there for a long time. If you settle for something in a bad neighborhood or a feature that not many people like, remember how hard it will be for you to sell it. Good luck!
