You can't write a proper book report without having read the book. At the very least, skim through it. Anyway, it is about a boy named Peter who travels to Greenland with his parents. Peter's parents are involved in the study of global warming, its effects and extent. As time progresses, he begin to undergo a form of psychic transformation, whereby he starts to receive visions. They are often vey painful. Through one of these visions, he is led to a young 14 year old girl named Thea. she is a member of this long-forgotten, matriarchial tribe who lives in the very depth of the ice. Thea has never seen the sun. It later transpires that Peter's visions were communicated to him by Thea whose one dream it is is to escape the ice dungeon within which she is trapped. The climax is attained when Thea sees the sun.
Response to your edit:
Setting - Greenland in the midst of fears of global warming.
Rising Action - book is narrated from the alternating perspectives of its two main characters, Peter and Thea. Their meeting or the meeting of their two worlds, culminating in Thea's seeing of the sun, is the climax - the rising action.
