What experiment should I do for my psychology project dealing with a child?

I have a psychology project which is to experiment with a child within the ages of 1-12 years old and write three pages on it. I need to apply either Erikson's, Piaget's, or Kohlberg's theories.

I don't know if I will experiment with a 5 year year old or 9 year old. But I am clueless of what experiment to do that deals with the child's thinking, and overall psychology.

Suggestions and advice please. HELP!

Im in Psychology too and we have only studied Piaget's Developmental theory. You could study the 5 and the nine year old and see which of the four stages (sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete, or formal) the children fall into. then you could compare those results with what stage Piaget said they should be in by finding some of the similarities of what Piaget said the children should be acting like and what they actually did act like. Then you could contrast them by writing some of the things that he didnt mention, or maybe one child was aged for one stage but was in another. If this study is done deep enough then you should have no problem making you project three pages. =)

come up with four tasks that fit the four stages in Piaget's theory.. then have the child attempt to do the tasks.. check if the results are consistent with Piaget's theory..
