Girl and Homecoming Advice?

im a junior so im not an oldie, okay? hahaha.

when you pick her up, comment on how she looks but dont overdo it. you can be general like, "you look gorgeous." dont get all nitty-gritty and complimenting everything; that'd be annoying. you talk to her on fb and school, so talk to her about what you usually talk about, but probably nothing class related. who wants to talk about grades on homecoming night? if there's awkward silence, turn on the radio and ask her what her favorite station is, what music genre she's into. or keep the radio (or your iPod) on the whole time. when a guy drove me home he did that and it wasnt as painful as silence bc we were singing the whole way hahaha.

dancing. loosen up and be yourself. dont be too self-concious on how youre dancing, but dont be too crazy. in my opinion, the worst dancers are the ones flailing their arms everywhere haha. watch your buddies and see what they do. depending on how close you are with your date, you might grind. when a slow song comes on, ask your girl if she wants to dance. if she says yes, cool! (see a youtube on how to slow dance if you need advice on that.) if she says no, to save yourself from an awkward moment, be like, "okay im gonna get something to eat/drink... want something?" use the song as a time to catch your breath.

corsages. nobody at my school gets corsages for homecoming, only prom. but i would ask your friends if theyre getting their dates corsages.

Don't stress so much. There's a lot of websites that recommend topics to talk about during a date, but don't try to conquer every question on the list. Just let the conversation flow. Tell her she looks pretty when she you pick her up. I never expected a corsage for homecoming, but if you really want to get something, get like a single sunflower or rose to give her when you first pick her up. She'll think that's sweet.

You should wait until after Homecoming, to ask her out. Don't sweat over it. Instead try to have a good time, and, just in case, the night really sucks, you won't be bounded to a date you don't want to go to. If the night does turn out well, lead into a topic of what movies she's seen lately. Then continue the conversation to movies that are coming out, and ask her out.

Go out to dinner a couple hours before your dance starts, maybe with other friends and you all can talk and take pictures as well.

When you get there just go behind her and yeah hold her waist. You don't need to get her a corsage. When it goes to a slow song hold her by her waist facing each other and just sway slowly.

If all goes well and you do ask her, you could ask her during the dance away from the music.

how did he get a hotel room anyway, if you're both underage? Sounds like some irresponsible parents wanting to be "friends" with the kids. And if he is of age, it may be illegal for you to have sex! If you don't want to have sex, you should not stay in the room with him. You may get wrapped up in it at the time and agree to something you will regret. OR you may be sexually assaulted, and that's something you will live with for the rest of your life. You should talk to him ASAP and tell him that you do not feel that you're ready to have sex yet. There's nothing wrong with you feeling that way, actually you're being smart! Talking to him as soon as you can might save him some money since he could try to sell the room to someone else or cancel the reservation. And if he has a problem with it and gets angry or tries to pressure you to change your mind, it might be time to look for a new boyfriend! I was your age when I first had sex, and even tho I'm still with the guy 6 years later, I sometimes wish we had waited and saved ourselves the worry every month that I was pregnant. thats a lot of questions. dont worry u will b fine. just tell her how beautiful she looks. and yes, you should probably buy her a corsage. if u are a freshman it doesn't really matter, but if ur a jr or sr then definately buy her one. at my homecoming, there was like 2 slow songs, and the rest of hte time people were just dancing with friends/dates. just do what everyone else does its not that hard. ask her out the next day if you want to.
