Would good quality pc sound card make any difference to the sound when a pc is hooked up to an amplifier?

I have a standard pc sound card and would like to know if upgrading it to say an "sound blaster" or better would improve the quality of sound, as my pc is hooked up to my amp and floor standers?

look, i put in a creative sound blaster Audigy se card with some use jbl  speakers for desktop the sound improve by 50% {from what the internal sound card sounds} and with  the latest directx install , just think of hooking up a better card with that amp,don't scare the neighbors

Not only do I find the sound of rain relaxing BUT I like the smell of rain. I also think the sound of rain in the night helps set the mood; nothing like making love with your gf all nigh when you hear it raining outside. It's romantic.

Yeah it doesn't for desktop speakers but it makes a big difference on systems like yours...

If you have a PCI slot the HT|Omega Claro is a good card.
