That is a historic problem. What they do in professional recording studios to get around that problem is to record the music first, then record the vocals separately on a different track. That way, you listen to the music on headphones while you record and the microphone will not pickup the sound of the music along with your voice. When you do this, you may have to mute the vocal track so you do not hear it while you record because there is usually a latency (timing problem) between the recorded music and the vocal sound which have to travel through the mic into your computer and back out again to the headphones. Very few recording software is able to correct the latency problem. Pro Tools HD is one of them. The only way I have found to hear the vocals as you record them with no latency is to use a Y connector and plug your headphones into your studio monitor (to hear the music play back) and your microphone preamp (such as a BOSS VE-20 vocal processor) at the same time. That way you are hearing the playback that what you are singing at the same time without latency. You still have to mute that vocal track when your do that to avoid the latency but, you will hear the vocals coming from you vocal processor as your record. The other thing you can do, is to plug your guitar directly into your audio/midi USB computer interface (like the Pro Tools Mbox or M-audio fast-track or Presonus Audiobox). If you are using a guitar effects pedal like the BOSS GT-10 (also a preprocessor), run the output of the preprocessor directly into your USB computer interface, or if you have a headphone jack on your guitar amplifier, record directly from that which will must the speakers in your guitar amp. That way you will not pick up the guitar sound on your mic because it's going directly into the computer. Once again, you will need to mute both the guitar and vocal tracks and use a Y connector to listen to the vocals (from your vocal preamp) and guitar amp or preamp pedal effect at the same time as your record. You have to be creative when you record if you want that undisturbed pristine sound going directly into your recording software. I have sound that recording directly from a BOSS GT-10 for the guitar and the BOSS VE-20 for vocals gives me the very best quality of sound for both the guitar and the vocals. I get clear sounding guitar tones and vocal tones with very little interference from outside sounds. Those come from the microphone so it's a good idea to shield your mic as much as possible from other room noises like your computer's fan for instance. That is why the use sound booths in professional studios.

In Mixcraft, you need to choose a specific recording source that is not the general output of your sound card. For example, you'd choose "line in," "USB audio codec," or "microphone." Do not choose the general audio output of your sound card, which might be called something like "stereo mix," "digital wave" or "what you hear."

To choose the recording source in Mixcraft, click on the small arrow next to the Arm button on your recording track.

it certainly relies upon on what proportion vocals u desire to checklist and how many instruments u have. the entire situation with the left and appropriate situation is, that u regularly use while u checklist for Dolby 5.a million ( action picture recording). remember if u in simple terms have the vocals that's one song (mono and with instruments or greater desirable than one vocal, u could have a stereo song) the suited application to get is nuendo 3
