Marijuana inhibits your capabilities less than alcohol does and is significantly safer than alcohol and tobacco. There is no reason why it is not legal. I don't do drugs or even drink, but I will say that I prefer to be around somebody that is high than somebody that is drunk. Plus, better the government get the money from it than criminals because people will always smoke pot, its the same reason why they couldn't successfully outlaw alcohol. Its safer for it to be legal and regulated like alcohol.

Gosh, I wish you would read the entire bill before you go spouting off like a angry teabagger! This just makes the possession of less than 1 oz of pot - for personal use - a non crime. We have filled up our jails and judicial system with 1,000s of pot smokers. We can't afford this "war on drugs" anymore!

Do you honestly think that engineers, drivers, teachers, police, judges, or politicians don't smoke marijuana now?

We've had 2 presidents openly admit to smoking marijuana, while a few have done it and not announced it. People in every career, from every age group, race, religion, gender, and sexual orientation have smoked marijuana. Don't delude yourself into believing that only convenience store clerks and fast food employees smoke it now.
