Dog Sleeping Help/Tips?

I have recently bought a new bed for my 6 month old Jack Russell x Staffy but I think he is scared of it. The bed is raised off the ground so I don't know whether that is the problem. I have tried putting blankets and towels over it but it hasn't helped. Any suggestions?

Take a towel or little blanket and rub him well with it then put it over the new bed and push it so he can see and smell that it is familiar.

as it's coming to halloween it's fireworks time i live in a place where boys think it ok to let loud bangers off and my dog is scared of them wouldn't go to bed in the back hall so i laid my old house coat down and wrap it around him think he smelled me off it but it worked a trick he didn't need it after he knew he was safe in the hall
