Is there a Recuva or a similar utility for restoring deleted files for Macs.?

The files are photos that were mysteriously deleted from Iphoto trash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here's what I did .....

    Calmed down and went shopping.

Sat down at the computer again.

Thought about it for a couple of minutes.

Realized they had to be on here somewhere, but I needed to look a different way.

Checked to see what the remaining photo files are named ("IMGxxxxxx").

Did a search for IMG files. (Really hard to do ..."find --> IMG).

    Ta daaa!

Found all the photo files in a data folder.

Copied them back to the iPhoto photo album.

They have the wrong dates on them now, but they're there!

Much easier than I thought it would be ... more proof that my brain shuts down when I panic, not to mention how simple life is with a Mac. :D

take the hardrive out install it in a pc and you should be able to recover them they probably got deleted when you emptied your trash because all deleted files on a mac are sent to a .trashes1000 folder not the actually trash bin trash then deletes all the separate .trashes1000 folders

mac osx is to say the least a very poorly functioning operating system i would reccomend installing windows onto your mac side by side with osx

or selling your mac and buying a pc with either windows or linux (mint or ubuntu) linuxmint has its own recoverytool and can be configured to look like osx (mac osx is based on linux)

hope that helps sorry i dont know any recovery tools for mac but then again i find macs frustrating to use and feel like putting my fist through the screen in the first ten minutes of use XD

To get for free Recuva you can simply click here http://j.mp/1pka7KM

It is a very useful program that allows you to restore deleted files from your computer, USB or from many other devices.
