I think that Calzaghe was making a point of beating Jones at his own game. Mimicking Jones as he fought him in America. I don't find that watching it is funny. Calzaghe was lucky he didn't get knocked out. Evidently he didn't. A classic victory, but the fact remains that Jones was past his best. Had they fought back in the day when Jones was at his best, who knows, Calzaghe was past HIS best when he fought hopkins and Jones anyway though.
I don't think that Lacy was overated - I think that Calzaghe ruined him. Calzaghe was chasing Hopkins for a fight for years. He beat the next big thing then 2 living legends. Hopkins masterclasss over Pavlik soldifies Calzaghes standing in the sport. I wish that some people would stop bad mouthing him for retiring when he did.

with all due respect to roy jones as he would go down in history as one of the best middleweight ever but he was owned by joe. i love jones but let's give joe his due respect. tremendous fighter.
