i want to jb my 2d gen ipod touch mc model using redsnow but i cant understand what tethering is?? what is it anyhow? this is because my device will be tethered when i jb it THANKS and btw is it ok if my device is tethered?

Tethering involves connecting two devices so that one device can have an internet connection. For example, I can Tether my BlackBerry Tour to my laptop and use my data package on my phone to essentially get an internet connection for my laptop and surf the net. Make sense?
