Area of table top = Pi x 3^2 sq ft = 3.142 x 9 = 28.278 sq ft
Volume (if you meant to ask this) is 28.278 x 4/12 = 9.426 cu ft

Pi times the radius squared.
So, 3.14 times the radius squared, which is 36X36, or 1296X3.14, which is 4069.44 which would be the number of square inches, which you divide by 144 to get square feet. which would be 28.26 square feet.
the thickness of the table is not relevant.

Use the formula
(pie)(r^2)(h)
for the area of a cylinder
diameter is 1/2 the radius, so you will divide 72in by 2 to get 36in
1) (pie)((36in)^2)(4in)
2) 5184(pie)in^3
or
16,286.02 cubic inches
or convert each measure to ft by dividing by 12 and you get 3(pie)ft^3

Area of circle = pi r^2 = pi 36^2
The depth doesn't affect the surface area of the top.
