Are we living during the events that are predicted in Revelation? That depends ... we're definitely not living during the time of the Tribulation, which is what the majority of Revelation details.

But we are living in the end times of the earth; that much is certain, from a Biblical perspective. How long that end-time period is? I have no idea (and no one else does, either.)

According to Ezekiel, the nation of Israel will come together and be formed in one day. That's the signal of the final phase of the earth, and that event came to pass -- in one day -- on May 14, 1968.

The book of Daniel predicts a re-formation of the Roman Empire. Today we see almost the same land area of the old Roman Empire now governed by the European Union, (but with some notable differences.) There are talks to expanding the EU and admitting other members. There is also discussion of having one EU President. Here again, however, that's what's predicted in Daniel.

Revelations refers to the Biblical idea that the world will end after a series of disasters. I believe it is inevitable that the world will eventually end, given our sun must expand and explode, and will consume the Earth in the process, but as for the world ending based on spiritual means, I would have to say that this is highly unlikely. There is no evidence throughout history to suggest that God or Jesus or any other prophet had any plans to destroy the world, and if they did, it would be reasonable to believe that they would have given us an expected time frame of this destruction. In all of the Biblical stories, God gave warnings and time frames for destructive purposes, so why would he decide that the worst destruction of all would be left a mystery? It seems suspicious that he would inform his past prophets what he planned, but he would inform no one of our predetermined future. God also attempted to give chances to the labeled "sinners" before destroying them in several Biblical stories. Why would he decide thousands of years ago that we were all going to fall into darkness and could not be saved, and therefore no warning would be given? This would also bring about the idea that everyone in the world is a sinner, which is not a plausible theory.

There is also the fact that Revelations itself is a composition of dozens of stories that were pieced together from different prophets and writers throughout history, which means that no one person wrote Revelations. If each portion were separated and read alone, it may not have anything to do with the end of the world.

I would agree that the world has entered hard times, and with economical collapse and countries becoming bankrupt and the recent food crisis, it would be expected that most people would believe the End of Days has come to pass. The truth of the matter is that these disasters and societal problems have happened numerous times throughout history and in all parts of the world, but in different ways, and without technology to spread the word around, people were not as aware of these hard times as they are today. In essence, our modern resources have opened our eyes to what was already there. In a symbolic sense, this could very well be what the Revelations meant: that the world was not literally ending, but we are evolving, thus ending what we once believed.

26 Signs of End Times ---- See Above.

See Matthew 24: 1-33. I don't know why there seems to be different opinions on this passage. See for yourself. Then read below.

We are told, in Matthew, that there are 14 generations between Abraham and David, between David and captivity to Babylon, and between Babylon and Christ. This equals 42 generations between Abraham and Christ. It is suggested that there are about 2,160 years between Abraham and Christ. 2,160 divided by 42 equals 51.4 years per generation.

Other speculations about the length of a generation include 70 years, 100 years or even 40 years because that is how long the Israelites wandered in the wilderness. Some say the “final generation” began when Israel became a nation. Others contend that, while Israel becoming a nation was extremely important, it wasn’t until 1967, when it reclaimed Jerusalem, that it could be considered to have “bloomed.” It is clear that we cannot know for sure the timing of the Lord’s return. But it is obvious that we are close--close enough to count the days!

We are in the last days. Many do not know or realize this. It will take them by surprise I guess. Jesus will be returning and God only knows when but many believe soon. And we are in the last days, how long will these days last? only God knows this too.

Seek and follow Jesus for the end is near and we can get a better life too. Win, win.

    bless you.

Maybe, but I don't believe that Revelations will happen in three minutes total. Sure, some of the prophecies are happening, but it'll be a while before the skies split open.

  • i dunno I think at times we definitely are and then other days i just dunno

All i say and I try to apply this to my life everyday is live right and try to live like God would want you to by being a nice caring giving person thats happy and appreciative and don't talk about people behind there backs and do unto others as you would have them do unto you

  • No, I'm living in reality and anyone that believes in revelations is delusional and a little warped, for looking forward to the end of the world as we know it.

Only in ignorance of the real world.

    And it's REVELATION, not revelations.
