well if we where in a state of anarchy then all hell would break lose because alot of people in this day and age are really bad people. Anarchists basically want to be under constant siege by looters and psychos. They want to be able to kill, steal, and break laws whenever they please. Some of them though do not realize that they aren't the only ones who can do whatever they want, so in a state of anarchy life would be relitively short for most people. You wouldnt be able to freely walk around like you can now because of the risk of getting shot or blown to bits. People would probably stop working at most of their jobs and go looting, so most of the basic services provided to us would be gone. So anarchists want to live in a hell hole.

I lived and worked in an anarchist commune in the Sixties, for about four months. It firmed up all my middle class values. If you can imagine a society run by adolescent dogs [Basic attitude: If you can't eat it or fxck it, piss on it ] you wouldn't ask a question like that.

I don't remember who it was attributed to, but it's been said that the greatest right for Americans is the Right To Be Left Alone. And certainly by Government.
I left home when I was 18; I'd outgrown my mommy and my daddy to protect me from myself, and I sure don't need a surrogate daddy to tell me what's for my own good.
Ever hear of the 3-Block Rule? Cops know that if they follow you for 3 blocks that you're going to break SOME law that they can pull you over for, so they can legally check you out for whatever interests them. And that's the problem; there are SO many laws that you can't help breaking one or another on a daily basis. Daily life is not about whether you break a law, but whether you get busted for it.
