How can I convince my parents to let me pre-order Black Ops?

I want to pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops, but am having difficulty convincing my parents. They say that I'll play to much because I played a lot of MW2, but this was because MW2 was the first game I got with my PS3 and I was into it because it was a massive improvement over my Wii. However, they won't recognize that that was a faze I went through because of the new console experience and are connecting it to COD. In addition, they already don't let me play games on weekdays, and limit my play on weekends. They say it's a waste of time, but it's just for entertainment and I only play sparingly anymore. So the question is, how do I convince them that I won't play Black Ops as often as I did MW2 and to let me buy it?

Update:

The financing isn't a problem, my brother and I have plenty of money to split it.

Update 2:

Black Ops > MOH

The game is about the vitnam war, much after world war 2. ell them how historical the game is and how you could learn from it.

Well maybe you can try talking to them by telling them you can have the same rules as you do now just with that game. It would be the same as playing mw2, since you can only play it certain hours on the weekends and that you would do any school work / chores before playing. You can also try telling them that by trading in MW2 that you can get about $17 bucks off black ops at gamestop.

bring ur grades up and if they r high just make them a promise that if u play too much they can take it for a couple of weeks

seriously consider MOH looks to be a very promising game(dont get pissed just a suggestion)

Source(s): i am also only allowed to play on weekends but im gonna ask for tomorrow cause MOH comes out!!!!

Tell them that mw2 was just a phase. Basically, tell them what you just put into ur question.

well, if they have to buy it for you...then maybe you should find a way to make up for the money...for instance, do extra chores, and tell them for every hour of gameplay, you will do a half hour or 15 min of reading.

if you have to buy it yourself, then i suggest walking through the neighborhood and knocking on peoples doors asking them if they need any yard work and any work done and tell them why, so you can raise the money yourself...

    faze is actually spelled "Phase"

My advice is stop playing so they forget or just give up until you grow up

(cause there's never any issues w/ it once you're old enough)
