1) ZnO + O > Zn + CO*2*
2) Cu + MgO > CuO + Mg
3) 2Mg + K*2*O > 2MgO + 2K
4) 2Al + 3Zn > 3Zn + Al*2*O*3*

Number 2 is the balanced equation
When determining a balance equation you want to make sure the same number of each element is on either side. for example #2 you have (1) Cu on both sides...you also have (1) Mg on both sides.....and you also have (1) O on both sides...so therefore it's a balanced equation. Hope that helps

number 2, has one molecule of each Cu, Mg, and O. 3 is not correct because the K2O is not 2 K molecules it is 2 O molecules on the left while the right side has 2K molecules

2 is balanced, because it has one Copper, one Magnesium, and one Oxygen on both sides.
