Well lets see..... here is a different view!
So there is this guy to travel through time...for the most part he just travels here and there...seeing the world...watch it pass by....Therefore he is unclaimed....by any time period or person that is.... He goes on the philosophy that you can't change future, because the future already predicted that you would change the past. so he pretty much is a wanderer until he meets a girl who can time travel as well, but she can't control it so this guy kinda makes it his quest to chase after her...since they are but unclaimed shadows, not attached to anything...

Story before title unless it is an assignment in which a teacher want you to work with a title/word/character and make a story from it.
Unlike what others are saying, it can be done, but not as well.
It should be as well as completed before thinking of titles.
Also asking ideas from others won't make it yours and would be taking your ideas.
But. . . I'm feeling bored and bubbly, so I will tell you what would be a good (not idea) thought.
A shadow that hasn't been claimed could belong to a spirit, someone not yet born, or someone who died and lost it.
A mystery about a stalker who you always see their shadow.
Just some thoughts.

If I saw that title on a book, and I wanted to know more and flip to the inside cover to read the treatment, I'd either expect a love story about some kind of love triangle, or a biography of someone behind the scenes who was actually in control, like some sort of movie producer/editor. Or it could even be a fantasy about people who's main characters don't obey the laws of physics somehow.

How about it's about a girl who keeps seeing the shadow of a ghost???And she doesn't know who or what the ghost's name is as in "Unclaimed Shadow". Maybe you could think up the rest... Just a thought that popped in my head...

It's a very bad idea to base a story purely around a title.
Do away with the title, then try writing your story yourself and then put a title in again later.
And I guess you're responsible for the TD's, if you cannot bear the truth and criticism then you will not make it as a writer. Get used to writing things for yourself and taking critisicm/advice on board without having a strop, or consider doing something else.

You can't have a title without a story. Never start with a title, that's not how writing works. Firstly, it limits you; secondly, if you have no IDEA what you want to write about, you can't give it a title...
Forget the title and think of a plot, some characters, a timeline, etc.

you cant ask people for the plot of your story, if you want to be a true writer, all the ideas have to come from you, i love the title, it is mysterious and really good.
i agree with all the above comments also,(':

Story should come before the title. TItle is probably the very last thing you do when writing.
It well be garbage if you do it the other way around.
