They did good. Like another poster said, the first 8 classes are going to all deserve to be in the HOF. I would have picked DW and Cale over Ned and Bud Moore. But the voters seemed to know all of the nominees better than me, and had a history with them.

I am really happy for David Pearson. If he raced as much as Petty did, he would probably have 250 wins and Petty would have 80. But he chose not to, and I respect that. That and the fact that he is very outspoken in interviews. He says a lot of the things that we as fans think, and criticizes NASCAR. I wonder when they are going to let him be part of the NASCAR appeals committee? He would be a voice of reason, and a voice with his OWN opinion.

Bobby Allison. Another great choice. I like him, and believe he would have done a lot better had he not been nearly killed racing @ Pocono. (Didn't double check, that's from memory) Also was a part of the Alabama Gang; great group. His sons would be proud. RIP Boys.

Lee Petty- Gotta have him in, right? He did so much to found Petty Enterprises and helped during NASCAR's infancy.

Ned Jarrett- Not my first pick, but a true first class gentleman. And he risked his life to save a fellow driver, Fireball Roberts. (Fireball might have lived with today's medical technology).

Bud Moore- Again, not my first pick, but a pioneer in the sport. Those who voted probably knew him better.

I'm all good with it. Glad Bobby David and Lee and Ned got in.

I respect their choices, but there are much more deserving people than Petty, and Moore IMHO..

For example, Dale Inman invented the job of Crew Chief, and is the only Crew Chief in NASCAR history with eight Cup Championships..

I'm okay with with, glad to see Bud Moore get in he is one of the great pioneers, I hope they keep putting in a pioneer each time. I was alittle surprised Allison, I thought Cale Yarborough would get in but he'll probably get in next time.

    Go Dale Jr

They can't go wrong at the moment.

Doing it 5 at a time be 8 years or more before questionable people make it into the HOF, as there as so much people who will get in without question.

A good set of picks but of course I would have had it a little different. DW deserves in based on his on track record and off track participation.

I am just glad DW didnt get in. But for the next year, we'll have to hear him gripe over he should have made it in instead one of the other guys

I guess you have to have one foot in the grave to be inducted into the hall of fame.
