Pac-10: Explosive offense, lacking defense
Big Ten: Stuck in between the new and the old. Northwestern, Purdue, Illinois, Michigan use the spread...a lot of these teams are just now doing this with their latest coaching staffs. Indiana uses the Pistol, which is also a fairly recent move. Minnesota's struggling to find their offensive identity and has been back and forth with the spread and the pro under Brewster. Ohio State throws a little spread option in but is struggling with identity, as well, because of the kind of player Pryor is. So I would not say "Old School power football."
SEC: Aggressive
Big East: Bland, i.e. not particularly speedy, not particularly great defensively, not particularly explosive...nothing attention-getting
Big 12: Inconsistent, i.e. explosive one season a la 2008, all over the map the next
ACC: Get-the-job-done, i.e. good enough to make a bowl game but not good enough to be on the national radar

Unabomber, none of the conferences you listed are BCS conferences. I know you gave a link and everything, but BCS conferences are conferences where the conference champion gets an automatic bid to a BCS bowl. The MWC, C-USA, WAC, Sun Belt, and MAC don't get automcatic BCS bowl bids.
