IPOD TOUCH 4G Help!!!?

I'm from India. I planned to buy apple ipod touch 4G 32GB [which is not yet released in apple store india so far by Apple customer care] from my long time savings.

My friend told me not to buy it because of following reasons

1. Battery fails.

2. Product fails after warranty period. etc.,

My question is

1. Is apple ipod touch 4G is failure?

2. Is that extra care should be taken while charging battery or it ll fail?

3. Worth buying it?

4. Can i use it for long time?

5. Will apple cost much for servicing after warranty period?

I want everyone to answer it especially those who r using it.

Answer as many answer but Genuine answer plz.

I appreciate lots of answers.

Update:

Extra care for charging battery? Yes. Then how care should be taken?

Thanks to guys who answered quickly. I want more people to answer it.

    1. Is apple ipod touch 4G is failure? No, it's the best music player out right now.

    2. Is that extra care should be taken while charging battery or it ll fail? No

    3. Worth buying it? Yes, you get two cameras built in and a music and video player with a large screen.

    4. Can i use it for long time? The battery will die after 1,000 charges but there are 365 days in a whole year.

    5. Will apple cost much for servicing after warranty period? I don't know

    These are all good questions.

These type of electronics are only made to last up to 2 years.

This is one of those lessons in planned obsolescence by the manufacturer.

They survive only on the consumers reliance of their products.

More than likely, everything you upload to you ipod, will be unretrievable, once your unit takes the plunge as well.

Admittedly, they are fun and useful gadgets, but, it is a rather expensive product for such a short amount of valued useage.

It's sad when an old Philco radio made in the 1930's is still working today and an electronic device today only gets a up to two years or better of lifespan. Food for thought.
