Given punishment exercise, do you think this is fair?
Basically I was given a punishment exercise for forgetting my kit when I hardy ever forget it, I haven't forgotten it in a long time! There are girls who forget it over and over and never take part and dont get a punishment exercise. I have never had one before and I am REALLY! pissed off.
I said to the teacher apologetically, sorry I dont have kit today, I forgot it. And she said AGAIN? (I was thinking what does she mean 'again' like wtf I hardly ever forget) then she was like you'll have to do lines. And gives me a punishiment exercise explaining how she doesnt want any trouble, doesn't want to have to chase it up, and that I better hand it in tomorrow, she even said at the end of the sentence UNDERSTAND?! and I just nodded, lol.
The other pupils where all saying thats unfair and I should get my mum to complain. One of the girls even laughed and said "I never have my kit and I've never even had one, shes just in a bitchy mood." She even Snapped at a girl practically screaming at her in registration just because she was wearing her hoodie which she was yet to take off, it's not like she was sitting there with the hood up and everything. :/
Discuss: What do you think I should do? Never had one befor and I'm certainly not going to have one on my record just because a teacher was in a crabbit mood and decided to pick on me.
Well firstly like I said there are girls in my class who NEVER bring kit. I practicially always bring mine & I get a punishment when I forget it as a one off? It's not even like I'm a bad person or anything & misbehave. If I was this wouldn't be my first one.
Also it's not the fact I have to do lines I don't mind that it's the fact it goes on your record, & I feel it was unjust, and I was picked on because she knew I'm not one of the ones who would talk back at her.

You're focusing too much on what other students are and aren't doing. You need to accept responsibility for yourself. The first question is, were you aware that forgetting your kit could result in discipline. The second question is, did you forget your kit? The answer to both questions in your case is yes. Therefore, it's completely within the teacher's authority to discipline you. You say you hardly ever forget it. But school has only been in session for about 2 months. If you're a repeat offender in forgetting your kit it's too early in the school year to say "I hardly ever forget it." The semester isn't even half over. So to answer your question, about the fairness of the punishment. Yes, it's fair and justified. As for other students not being disciplined you need to take that up with your teach respectufully and privately (not in front of other students). After speaking with her, if you truely feel she's not treating everyone the same, then you need to speak with your Principal. I don't think your question really is about whether you deserved the punishment but that other are getting away with doing what you got in trouble for.

If you broke the rules and get punished, handle it. I guarantee you it won't make any difference to how people view your record and you can't get on your high horse when you were in the wrong in the first place.

i would have my mom call . that lady sounds so stupid . i hate teachers like that , i once had a teacher that kick me out of class because i raised my hand and ask to sharpen my pencil and he is from india and he started screaming at me to get out of his class then he started screaming we dont sharpen pencils in my country . and i told him we arent in india we r in the usa so calm down . and i had my mom come in cause they were going to put it on my record and she straightend every thing out :) lets just say he was back that next year..............

I think it's only lines, I'd get pretty bitchy too if I had to teach p.e to a bunch of insolent kids too.
