I feel a cold coming on. What do I do to stop it before it gets worse?

I just got over a cold from two weeks ago. I would hate to get another one. I have a gross feeling. That feeling you get right before you get sick. I've had that feeling all day today. So far I've taken a multivitamin (Centrum) and a Vitamin C pill (866% DV). I also took two decongestants (Mucinex D) and an NSAID (Advil) to keep my sinuses from swelling. What else can I do?

Zinc can help. I take a zinc pill at night before bed (50 mg). You can get them at walmart for about $3-5 in the vitamin section. It supposed to increase immunity and lesson the severity of colds. Just don't take it on an empty stomach. Get lots of sleep.

Zinc tablets definitely help, especially if you start taking them at the onset of the cold, before it's full blown. I wouldn't suggest taking them every night regularly, however, too much zinc can be a bad thing.

Well most dont believe it but you can drink really warm or hot water but not hot enough to burn your mouth, like the temp you would like hot chocolate. Also you can take a more than warm shower or just put in face in hot water. Again.... not hot enough to burn you just hot that you can stand.
