Which gap wedge should i keep?
I used to carry 2 50* clubs. one came with my irons (taylormade burner plus) and the other is a nike sv tour. I would use the taylormade for swing shots and nike for shots around the green with the recent editions of a hybrid, 56* wedge, and 60* wedge. I can no longer have 2 50* clubs because I would be carrying 15 clubs. The burner wedge is more forgiving, but i think i can get more out of the nike because it produces more spin and is easier to hit out of the rough.. Write what you would do.. thanks

In this case, I will first assume that your are more accurate with distance and direction chipping and pitching with the Nike over the Burner. Now advantage of your Taylormade Burner is that it hits like the rest of your irons. It should fill the distance gap between your PW and Sand. That's it's purpose. The question is, because the Nike SV is a blade, can you consistently hit it solid and nail the same distance as the Burners? If so, go with the Nike. If you can't, the Burner might be a better option. You still have a 56* and 60* wedge for chipping and pitching. Not that many people chip or pitch with a gap. Personally, the gap wedge is the least used club in my bag. I only pull it out when I need to hit a 110 yd shot. I chip and pitch with my Sand and Lob. The easiest way to find out for you is to play a round and count how many times you chip and pitch with the gap and how many times you hit full shots. Some people can nail distance and accuracy with their irons to put them on the green. Some tend to miss the green and need to chip to get up and down for par. Which one are you? In addition, if you feel that you really chip and pitch with the gap wedge more often but don't hit the Nike well to consistently hit your gap distance with a full swing, then you might be able to get away with a 3/4 swing with the PW. Either case you must decide which you need more often and use that. I hope it helps. Good Luck,.

I don't understand why you would have two of the same club in your bag, but that's another discussion. If you can hit the Nike one well around the green, you can hit it well from the fairway. The spin will help you from any spot on the course. A little work with it and you'll hit it the same as you do the TaylorMade

well, I carry 3-4 vokey's depending on set up of my 3wood/5wood (48-52-54-56-60). but to answer your question carry the 50 nike wedge its a little less forgiving but you will have tons more control over the ball, in the long run. (it saves me about 3-4 shots a round carrying a actual wedge rather than the PW in the set.)
hope this helped

Keep whichever you feel you can hit half-shots better with. Based on what you said, I would use the Nike because shots around the green are much more crucial and occur more often than shots from a specific distance in the fairway.
