Is there a law in Alabama stating that the landlord has to repaint before they rent out a property?

I moved out of state and now my landlord is trying to say that I have to pay them more money because when we repainted, the paint didn't match. Which is a lie because we had the paint matched before we repainted. Anyway, I was wondering if they are legally supposed to repaint the house anyway before they re rent it out. The walls were DISGUSTING when we moved in, so they should be glad we even tried to make it decent anyway! They are saying it will cost over $1400 to repaint and our deposit was $1100, so they basically want us to pay them $300 more!

Update:

Like I said before, we returned it to better than it was before we moved in and now that I am 8 hours away, they are trying to screw us.

Update 2:

We painted the house the same color it was.... using the same paint color they already had there, we took the extra they left and got more of it... not a different color.

    No of course there aren't.

They can only charge you for repainting though if there is damage....and the fact that you painted makes it damage.

You are entitled to a receipt. for 1400 bucks they can repaint the entire interior.

There are no laws that require a landlord to paint between tenants. There are laws that require a tenant to return the property (including the paint color) to it's original state.

You're kidding, right? There are no laws like that anywhere. Over-entitled much?

    No, there isn't.
