There is this thing for your hair called a crimping iron i have flat, limp hair but when I use this it makes my hair beautful, healthy looking and wavy!

that looks like a finger wave, but bigger. i don't know if you can use the same technique with a finger wave with this ---- probably not. but you can try googling 'finger wave'
