    (x-3)(x-5) = 0

    x^2 -8x + 15 = 0

    If we assume that it is a polynomial then we can make a guess at the probable value of the function.

    (x-3)(x-5)=0

    x^2-8x+15=0

    This function will match up the two given data points ie its roots.
