Can other scales different from the chromatic scale be made? or anything based off the chromatic scale.?

I mean like a new totally different scale with maybe more notes than the chromatic. Is this what Indian music is?

    Chromatic means going in order.

Scale means a series of notes that is played (in musical terms).

So Chromatic + Scale = A series of notes that is played in order.

So Chromatic Scales use all the notes so I have no idea what your trying to ask.

Chromatic means you use all the notes. If your playing guitar you can bend the string to a point that its between 2 different notes. This is called a quarter bend. Other than that your not going to get anything that hasn't been done. Any possible pattern has already been thought of. Try mixing modes to get a new sound.

Sure.. For example, Japanese music is BASED ON FOURTHS which is what gives it the characteristic sound it has
