Which of these do you think is easier to learn without a teacher: dancing, singing, or playing an instrument?
I know that each of these activities are definitely better to learn with a teacher because teachers provide good criticism and I also know that your answers may depend on what type of dance, singing style, and instrument that one wants to learn but in your opinions, which activity is easier to learn without a teacher (example: learning these activities from people on Youtube)?
And please give a reason for choosing one of the activities.

As a singer and an instrumentalist (viola and violin) I would have to say dancing.
Although it isn't easy to teach yourself to dance, i would expect it would be more difficult to learn an instrument or learn to sing well.
Learning to sing includes a lot of work on technique etc, which if not learnt correctly, could permanently damage your voice and/or your vocal cords. Also, it would be difficult to decipher you range or voice type without a teacher.
Learning an instrument is really difficult. I know this from 11 years of violin and viola playing. Even after this long I still have a teacher. There is so much technique and the difficulty of some music is just impossible to perform correctly and/or with ease if you don't have proper help.
Sometimes you can get very cheap teachers, maybe ask a music student at a university, or a friend who does one of these activities to help/teach you and/or give you pointers?
Hope I helped! :)

1. Not dancing. Im a dancer and you need a teacher to instruct you properly and help you with all the steps. 2. I think singing would be second easiest, but thats really another one where you need someone to help. 3. Out of the choices music is easiest to teach yourself. You can look up the notes and how they need to be played online, and youll also be able to access how they should sound. I love music soo much and i got started by myself. I now have a teacher whos helping me improve, but he was impressed when i showed him how much i knew when i taught myself. Good luck! happy selecting!
