The way you classified rap and hip hop is wrong but u r right about they are not different. Hip hop the flow is like a mild rap the message thru hip hop is not necessarily about sex and women it can be about anything. Rap, however, is a hard flow, where its just a raging beat, the message in raps are usually about life, but not necessarily about gangsters, some can say that So seductive by Tony Yayo and 50 cent is somewhat of rap and hiphop. The key thing is that Hip hop and Rap fall in the same category, since hip hop is the culture of where rap originated.
