Why does my Sony Vegas stop rendering in the middle of rendering?

I don't know why, but whenever I try to render one of my projects in sony vegas, it stops in the middle saying something like, "An error has occurred. We will notify you when a solution has been found." and it shuts sony vegas down after clicking the "OK" button in the bottom.

WHY DOES IT DO THAT?!?! do i have too many tracks on it? too many effects? why? too many programs on? PLEASE HELP ME!!

Info:

Sony Vegas Pro. 8

Windows Vista

Toshiba Laptop (might be useful depending on the computer type)

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!! ^^

Check your ram. Check for updates. If all else fails cut your file in half and then edit it together later. I've had to do this.

Chris is probably right about it being a memory problem, the more tracks and effects you have the more RAM will be needed to process the file. You might want to start up Task Manager next time to see how much CPU and RAM your rendering is using. And I would suggest that you have nothing else running during the rendering. Rendering eats up a ton of resources.
