I am with the second person, if it is to warm the can ferment, to cold and they can deteriorate also, a cool cupboard, a dark and open corner of the basement, here in Toronto Canada I keep my pickles, chutneys, jams and other preserved items in my storage closet, it is on an outside wall but not cold in the frigged Canadian winters, keep them no longer than 6-12 month before consuming.

Store pickled products in a COOL, dark, dry place where there is no danger of freezing. Around 20 C is fine= 70 F, if slightly cooler you might extend its shelf life
