What kind of candy should I make?

I found this skull head ice cube tray at the dollar store and I was thinking about making some sort of candy on a stick that trick-or-treaters could have instead of just candy pieces. The problem is though.. that theres no place to lay a stick since it's meant for icecubes.

I was thinking lolipops but they seem to hard to make. I was thinking maybe chocolate ones instead? They seem much easier to make.

You could fill them with some kind of chocolate filling, like making fudge, or just melt milk chocolate and harden them into the molds. if you did the last idea you could put some kind of a gummy worm of something into it to make it a surprise center, besides that would make it taste amazing! and extreamly easy! good luck! ;)

It'll be important that you use cooking spray in the little skull openings, else you won't be able to get the chocolate out! Also, you don't have to make the skulls as thick as the mold is deep. I'd just fill them to about ½ full.

At the grocery store you can get milk or white chocolate in a block. Just look in the same aisle where you'd find the baking stuff. You can melt that gently in the microwave (don't let it boil) and then pour it into your skull trays. Presto! Chocolate candies! You might want to wrap them individually in plastic wrap.

Oh, and be aware that some parents won't let their kids have homemade treats any more. It's a shame, but with the mean things people have done in years past it's easy to see why. If your neighbor kids know you it'll probably be fine.

Most parents will not allow their trick or treater's to eat home made candy or cookies.

Unless you are having a party where the parents know you and the kids know you I would not bother doing a home made candy. Unless you want to make it and take it to work.

But the chocolate in the mold would be great. I would use white chocolate for the skull but I would also melt some dark chocolate and do the eyes and mouth with the dark chocolate.
